The sun and good weather have been witness to the entertaining activities we have held in the past few weeks and to the privileged guests at our wonderful “One Day in the Mountain” program. This is an initiative we implemented this spring and summer season that has become one of the preferred choices of both old and young.
In addition to the adrenaline rush that the Mountain Bike Championship left us a few weeks back, everyone who has visited Valle Nevado to take excursions and ride horses has had a unique and unforgettable experience. Families, friends, adults and children, even a team of reporters from TVN and La Segunda, have traveled the paths and trails that give way to the most spectacular panoramic views offered by the Andes Mountain Range and Mount El Plomo from Valle Nevado.
And we are not only looking to provide entertainment that involves the entire family. We are also making something innovative available to companies and special groups to hold meetings or seminars, all in the tranquility that is found only at Valle Nevado, accompanied by our integral and quality service.

OLYMPIC SKI TEAMS AT PORTILLO CHILE
Portillo is one of the preferred ski resorts for summer training by the United States and many European national ski teams (Austrian, Italian teams). Our ski runs, snow, and service bring coaches and racers back to Portillo year after year. National ski teams typically stay with us for the entire month of August. This is a thrilling experience for our guests, who get to go back home with stories of skiing alongside some of the world’s best skiers.

With outdoor and mountain sports fanatics in mind, the Mountain Fest is an action-filled week that includes the Portillo Ice Fest (the second edition of this extreme ice and rock climbing competition), the Banff Film Festival and the Chilean Cross Country Ski Competition.
Many of South America’s top ice/rock climbers must test their limits against the course and the elements of nature while competing in various events including speed, mixed ice/rock climbing and dry-tooling, among others. Free clinics will be available to guests throughout the week on Portillo’s rock wall.
During this week, Portillo will also play host to the 30th annual Banff Mountain Fest World Tour. Guests will be able to see three separate and unique viewings of these action-packed films which highlight adventure and extreme sports such as mountaineering, kayaking, skiing, skydiving and BASE jumping.
